Alternative ISPs in Malaysia
The only way a company with inferior products could dominate is by monopolizing the market. Having equally incompetent competitors help too…
After my recent “bout” with TM, I searched for alternatives. Here’s my views of them.
Jaring. A government body, said to be the second largest ISP in Malaysia. I was told their dial-up isnt that stable [...]

ISP woes…
This may not concern you if you are not based in Malaysia but thought I’ll share my recent experience with local Internet Service Providers (ISP) after another “harrowing” experience of being disconnected from the rest of the world. Well, in virtual means, that is.
Like most Malaysians without a choice, I have been using TM (used [...]

Yahoo, MSN, GoogleTalk… I’m confused!
Say Mr Casanova would like to chat with all his ladies at the same time but couldn’t do so as each use different instant messaging accounts so what does Mr Romeo do?
Install Gaim!

Don’t use Outlook!
Hee hee. First IE, now Outlook. If this sounds like I’m anti-Windows, don’t get me wrong. Windows definitely has improved in great strides but popularity doesn’t mean anything if you are constantly being attacked by “weapons of mass destruction” — computer viruses and worms.

Use a different browser, other than Internet Explorer.
Yeah, no kidding.
I have used extensively both Firefox and Opera and they are much much better [...]

Why Mac?
So I was asked why moved to Mac? And why ditch Windows?
By no means am I an authority on this, but here’s 3 reasons I could think of.
Security
Since I migrated to Mac, I have not done any “virus definition file upgrade”! In the Windows world, I used to have to do this almost [...]

Computers — can’t live with them, can’t live without them
I’ve been plagued by PC problems lately. First my day job Fujitsu notebook’s Windows crashed. I have been using this fella for 3 years so I guess sooner or later, (I didn’t expect so soon!), he’ll give up for good.
So I had to rely on my 6-year old Compaq desktop, which has served me quite [...]

First blog
Wow! Sorry for being so late into the blogging world. Always thought that having a website is already enough but the recent webhosting server’s hard disk crash was a HORRENDOUS experience!
The website was down for a week. The webhosting company (affordablehost.com) didn’t even bother to respond to me, for every report i lodged against [...]
