Introducing Sophia!
Hee hee. Most folks have problem believing such a small box is capable of down to 60Hz output. Actually bass starts to roll off at 80Hz and 60Hz is only discernible, but hey, it still managed to go down that low!

Measuring just H 11.5″, W 7″ and D 9″, this is roughly the size of the famous LS3/5A but unlike the British monitor which peters out at roughly 100Hz, Sophia goes lower. But impressively, the bass is that of a horn. Well, that’s because it IS a horn!
Gabriel is smart to adapt the spiral horn and came up with his own unique way of horn loading it. And we are daft enough to name this method of horn loading SeTH - Stairway to Heaven.
Guess we have been listening to too much Led Zep!
But what we achieved is no laughing matter. Show me such a small box producing this kind of bass. The mids and highs has the typical coherency of a fullrange single driver so we are combining the best of both worlds here. Imaging is wonderful ala mini monitors.
And then Gabriel pimped her up in our tropical solid wood!
So she has the looks as well as the pipes. Yo bro, are you falling for her yet?
By the way, the Sophia name is a take on the classic but with a touch of modern innovation. Surely bookshelfs have been around for so long, but adapt a horn into it and extend the low end like never been seen in bookshelfs and we have a winner!
Oh yeah, you folks with bass reflex boxes that go lower. Sure it can go lower, but can it recover fast enough for the next quick bass note? And that my friend, is a test only horn speakers pass.
