I'm using a Promitheus Audio DAC, which according to Nickolas has an output

voltage of 2-5mV. He didn't think it would be a problem with Charlize2,

but I want to be absolutely sure.

    Any help much appreciated, John.

    hi emanresu

    output voltage of 2-5mv? i think that's 2-5v?

yes, i don't think there is a problem with charlize. however what's the volume control or preamp you intend to use in between?

Thanks for replying Yeo.  Nick said mV, not sure if that was a typo?

I'm using a hard drive based media player, and intended to use it's

volume control ( and remote), and Charlize as a power amp.

Do you see any issues with that setup?

5mv will sound very faint on almost all amps/speakers.

We should have a new volume control out within a week.

For now, you could use your setup.

Yeo, I'm sorry, but I think my original question has been misconstrued. Blame my complete beginner status.

Because charlize has no input coupling capacitor, you say "no feeding her DC voltage,OK." I asked Nicholas

about this and he said, "the dac has a low output voltage in the 2-5mV. I don't think this would be a problem."

I'm trying to make sure I don't blow her up. The volume is fine with this setup and my current amp.

Sorry again to have confused things.  John.
