Assembled/tested Volume Control/Preamp PCB module.

Pay attention to Electro Static Discharge! As with all kits, we expect easonable technical/skill level here to complete the build.

Supplied with the PCB module, is the remote control and a set of Molex connectors for the power supply. If you need the connectors for input/output signal wiring too, just ask and we'll include in the kit at no extra charge.

You need a chassis to house everything in, you need RCA sockets, mains switch. You need 2 step down transformers (9-0VAC or 12-0VAC will do). At least 20VA per transformer.

As your wiring will include the primary of the transformers, please exercise great caution here. Live Mains Voltage is LETHAL. We can't be held responsible for any neglect on your part.

For POSITIVE supply, short R2 with a jumper and use a 15-25ohm >1W resistor at R1. Terminal NEG=GND, POS=POSITIVE SUPPLY.

For NEGATIVE supply, short R1 with a jumper and use a 15-25ohm >1W resistor at R2. Terminal NEG=NEGATIVE SUPPLY, POS=GND.

C2/C3 can be any capacitor >470uF, >25V. Schottky diodes are recommended here. Use something like 1N5819.

This is what a built up supply looks like. You need 2, one for Positive Supply and the other for Negative Supply.
