AudioSlave

SGD32.00

AudioSlave! TDA1545A Vdd Regulator. Since it's a 5VDC regulator, you could use for other application where 5V is required. Output current <100mA though.

Pin out ala LT1085/LM1086 fixed voltage regulators.

Wiring
Grey wire --- GND
Purple wire --- Power supply Output
Brown wire --- Power supply Input

The idea is to isolate, as well as regulate, the VDD of the TDA1545A DAC chip on Monica (all versions of Monica) from corrupting the critical VREF pin.

To implement on Monica, break the PCB connection between string of 1N4148 diodes (or LM317 ADJ pin), and solder AudioSlave Output wire (purple in colour) to TDA1545 VDD pin or on the electrolytic capacitors filtering at VDD pin. VDD pin is pin 5 of TDA1545A.

You of course need to solder Power Supply Input (brown wire) to a 7-25 VDC power supply and connect the Ground (grey wire) connection. It is best that this Ground connection be as close as possible to the TDA1545A DAC chip.
