Although I have read good things about EVA, which tempted me to purchase one, I must admit that I wasn't ready for the way it trounced my existing pre-amp. My thought was to use EVA for streaming background internet music but it's waaaay too good for that. I am hearing micro detail that I have never heard before, the soundstage is wider and deeper than I thought possible and what's even more important, it plays a tune. A real tune with all the natural harmonics in place. I didn't think a passive preamp would work this way in my system but it is now my favourite piece of kit and I would recommend it as the pre-amp of the decade. Can't say more than that about a product.
