not really electrically inclined. the download section especially the simple pream 5687 really help me tremeodusly in building one with no error at all. that is one plus point that prompt me to go ahead with 5687 project. will be nice if similar powerpoint is aldo done for 6DN7 SE amp. if you have time please do so so that i can keep my hand busy with new projects. thanks yeo once again

I want to build a Darling amp – was wondering where you managed to procure the components from – did you source it from individual sources or is there a one single place where you can find all components required (tubes + resistors + caps + transformer). Also when I searched on ebay for the 1626 tube, there seem to be plenty of sub-variants (is there a specification list for each component posted somewhere?)

I build this amp, and what a supprise! Nice simple design, real value for the bucks. From a onother DIYer I got the tip of leaving the catode decoupling caps out, it got a more warmer sound then. Enybody with the same experience?
