I read with interest the article above and would like to have a go at it. However when I have compared my amp with the one in the picture there are no resisters in the line from pins 3 &4. It appears they go straight to the transformer.

Can I just disconnect the wire to pin 4 and put a resistor from pin 3 to 4 and tape up the loose end of the wire that usedto feed pin 4.

The layout of my amp can be seen at http://www.drg4.fsnet.co.uk/bias.htm and by scrolling down.

Many thanks for your help

Regards
Bill
PS I’m a novice with no electronic experience
